Phuket & Elephant Hills

from €1399 per person
Phuket, the county's largest island. As you would expect from an island destination there are a lot of activities based around the water. You can check out the marine wildlife with some diving, explore some of the smaller islands offshore such as Racha Island or just laze on the beach and top up your tan.

If you prefer to have your fun on terra firma then you can explore the thick rainforests, grab a refreshing cocktail at a beachside bar or visit some of the local villages and towns.

Tracey Crowley If you are looking of a lovely dinner out. A romantic, sophisticated but yet comfortably casual is Da Maurizio Bar Ristorante. The contemporary Italian cuisine combined with the traditional Italian flair is exceptional which is why it has won many awards including yearly appearances in Thailand Tatler's Best Restaurant Guide.

  • Jet skis costs around 1,500 baht for 30 minutes. This is just an indication, the price varies with the gasoline price, but always up, never down!
  • With so many things to see and do in Phuket, renting a bike or a car seems to be one of the best ways to get around freely at low cost.
  • The coolest and supposedly best months to travel are December to March.

  • Its hard to resist the old town in Phuket with its old Sino Portuguese streets with their beautiful shop houses and magnificent mansions. Try the many small cafes, bakeries and eateries along the way.
  • Laem Ka Beach, in the very south of Phuket near Rawai is a beautiful little gem hidden from view, only the ones in the know might find it.
