Dubai 2018

from €999 per person
This Middle Eastern destination is a two-sided coin. On one hand you have the glitzy, over-the-top hotels, monumental structures, the uber-chic restaurants and unrivaled shopping options and on the other you have a more relaxed vibe that emphasizes the multicultural nature of the area.

Take a trip up the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and get breathtaking views of the city then test the very limits of your credit card at the Dubai Mall.

Visit the Jumeirah Mosque to learn all about the Emirati culture then stroll around the Bastakia Quarter where you can get a feel for the ancient history of the city and see Dubai's oldest building. Spend a few relaxing hours down by the creek and watch the traffic travel the waterway.

With opulence, relaxation, shopping and culture all on offer this is a great place for a holiday with that special someone.

Staff Comment
Shannon Harris It is impossible to stay at a more perfect hotel. The combination of location, quality of service, staff courtesy and value far exceeds that of hotels which charge 4 times the price!

  • Catch an abra across the river to the spice souks (I would recommend you do this at 4pm or 5pm, as the sun is easing down).
  • Out of respect for the locals, dress modestly and refrain from public displays of affection. But Dubai is a very safe city, so explore independently on the buses and trains, and take taxis, which are cheap.

  • Friday brunches are an institution - all you can eat and drink between noon and 3pm for a fixed price, ranging from top-dollar at the Fairmont and Grosvenor House to more reasonable at Double Deckers in Dubai Mall.
